EZBlock™ T20 (PBS) Blocking Buffer

BioVision’s EZBlock™ T20 (PBS) Blocking Buffer is based on a proprietary protein, which efficiently blocks residual binding sites in ELISA, immunohistochemistry and Western blotting applications. This blocking buffer contains Tween 20, which improves blocking performance in many detection systems. In addition, this blocking buffer is albumin or endogenous biotin free, which makes it compatible with avidin/streptavidin systems and delivers high signal-to-noise ratio in most systems. Notes: a. In certain applications, optimized buffer concentration may be beneficial. For example, if the blocking buffer is used as a diluent for antibodies to improve signal-to-noise ratios, the buffers may be used as supplied or diluted up to 10-fold. b. EZBlock™ T20 (PBS) Blocking Buffer may be used as a protein stabilizer for drying antigen or antibody coated microplates. c. Selecting the proper blocking buffer can increase sensitivity and prevent nonspecific signal caused by cross-reactivity between the antibody and the blocking reagent. Testing is essential to determine the appropriate blocking buffer for each Western blot system because no blocking reagent is optimal for all systems.
