GZ4
GZ4 is a calcium current inhibitor with direct inhibitory activity on cell surface channels. GZ4 inhibition reverses mechanical hyperalgesia/hyperalgesia in a spinal nerve ligation-induced neuropathic pain model. The mechanism of action of GZ4 is similar to that of gabapentin, but the time course of its biological effects is more rapid, indicating that GZ4 can directly inhibit calcium channel currents[1].
