Dopal
Dopal is an aldehyde that can be generated in Parkinson's disease by enzymatic degradation of dopamine. Dopal can generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), and triggers aggregation of α-synuclein. Dopal elicits α-synuclein accumulation and hampers α-synuclein clearance in primary neurons[1][2].
