Fluorescamine
Fluorescamine is nonfluorescent until it reacts with primary amines. The reaction is completed in miniseconds and can be used to detect amine-containing compounds including peptides and proteins. Unreacted fluorescamine is rapidly converted to a non-fluorescent product by reaction with water, making amine detection highly specific. <ul> <li> lamba;Ex/ lamba; Em(CH3CN) = 381/470 nm (for reaction product with amines)</li> <li>Off-white solid soluble in DMF or DMSO</li> <li>Store at -20°C and protect from light</li> <li>C17H10O4</li> <li>MW: 278.26</li> </ul>
