EXOSC8, Human

EXOSC8 is a non-catalytic RNA exosome complex component that is critical for 3'->5' exoribonuclease activity and affects a variety of cellular RNA processing and degradation. In the nucleus, it helps stabilize the maturation of RNA species and eliminates processing by-products, non-coding transcripts and defective mRNAs, thereby preventing their export to the cytoplasm.
