Medronic acid (Standard) is the analytical standard of Medronic acid. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Medronic acid (Methylenediphosphonic acid) is a methylene-substituted bisphosphonate. Medronic acid has affinity for and adheres to the surface of hydroxyapatite crystals in the bone matrix. Medronic acid can be used in bone imaging, while being complexed with radioisotopes. Due to its strong metal-chelating ability, Medronic acid can also be used as a water treatment chemical[1].
