Cl-HIBO is a highly subtype-selective GluR1/2 agonist (EC50=4.7 and 1.7 μM, respectively) . Cl-HIBO is a potent AMPA receptor agonist (IC50=0.22 μM) . Cl-HIBO has desensitizing properties[1].
