TGIF2 Polyclonal Antibody

Rabbit Anti-TGIF2 Polyclonal Antibody

Product Specifications

Background

TGIF2 (TGFB Induced Factor Homeobox 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with TGIF2 include Holoprosencephaly 4. Among its related pathways are Transcriptional activity of SMAD2/SMAD3-SMAD4 heterotrimer and mir34a and TGIF2 in osteoclastogenesis. The protein encoded by TGIF2 is a DNA-binding homeobox protein and a transcriptional repressor, which appears to repress transcription by recruiting histone deacetylases to TGF beta-responsive genes. TGIF2 is amplified and over-expressed in some ovarian cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1. Read-through transcription also exists between TGIF2 and the neighboring downstream C20orf24 (chromosome 20 open reading frame 24) gene.
