Digitoxigenin

Digitoxigenin has unique chemical properties that make it an important precursor for the synthesis of cardiac glycosides, a group of drugs used to improve heart failure and certain types of arrhythmias. It works by inhibiting the sodium potassium ATPase pump, thereby increasing the force and efficiency of cardiac contractions.
