Fucosyltransferase 9 (EC:2.4.1.152, FUT9) catalyzes the last step in the biosynthesis of Lewis antigen, the addition of a fucose to precursor polysaccharides. Fucosyltransferase 9 synthesizes the LeX oligosaccharide (CD15) [1].
