SDC2 Human
Source: Sf9, Baculovirus cells.Sterile filtered colorless solution.Syndecan 2 (SDC2) is a conserved family of heparan- and chondroitin-sulfate carrying transmembrane protein. Syndecan 2 is a cell membrane proteoglycan which modulates the activity and dynamics of some growth factor receptors and integrins. SDC2 is expressed in HSCs (hepatic stellate cells), a key cell type involved in matrix deposition in liver fibrotic disorders. SDC2 is implicated in the formation of specialized membrane domains and serves as a direct link between the extracellular environment and the organization of the cortical cytoplasm. SDC2 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 135 amino acids (19-144a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 15kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28kDa) . SDC2 is expressed with a 6 amino acids His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
