Source: Sf9, Baculovirus cells.Sterile Filtered colorless solution.Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3, subunit I (EIF3I) is part of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is essential for numerous steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The eIF-3 complex links with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2: GTP: methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S pre-initiation complex (43S PIC) . The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. The eIF-3 complex is also essential for disassembly and recycling of post-termination ribosomal complexes and subsequently prevents premature joining of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits prior to initiation. Among the diseases associated with EIF3I are clonorchiasis, and tonsillitis.EIF3I Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 331 amino acids (1-325 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 37.3kDa (Migrates at 40-57kDa on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) .EIF3I is fused to an 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
