OPG Mouse
Source: Sf9, Baculovirus cells.Sterile filtered colorless solution.Osteoprotegerin acts as decoy receptor for rankl and thereby neutralizes its function in osteoclastogenesis. OPG inhibits the activation of osteoclasts and promotes osteoclast apoptosis in vitro. Bone homeostasis seems to depend on the local rankl/opg ratio. Osteoprotegerin may also play a role in preventing arterial calcification. May act as decoy receptor for trail and protect against apoptosis. Trail binding blocks the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis.OPG Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 388 amino acids (22-401a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 44.4kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 40-57kDa) .OPG is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
