Recombinant E.Coli Heat Shock Protein Cofactor 70 (HSP24)

Source : Escherichia Coli. GrpE Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 197 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.8 kDa. The GrpE is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. GrpE , co-chaperone of E.coli, participates actively in the response to hyperosomotic and heat shock by preventing the aggregation of stress-denatured proteins in association with DnaK. This protein is the nucleotide exchange factor for DnaK and may function as a thermosensor. Several rounds of ATP-dependent interactions between DnaJ, DnaK and GrpE are required for fully efficient folding.
