Recombinant Human Thyrotrophic Embryonic Factor

TEF Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 326 amino acids (1-303) and having a molecular mass of 35.6kDa.TEF is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Thyrotroph embryonic factor (TEF) is a nuclear transcription factor which is a part of the bZIP (basic region/leucine zipper) family and PAR subfamily. TEF binds DNA as either a homodimer or heterodimer, and is known to transactivate the TSH beta promoter. TEF accumulates according to a robust circadian rhythm and is also inhibits cell growth by down-regulating beta chain expression of cytokine receptors.

Components

The TEF solution (0.25mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) and 10% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
