Recombinant Human Syndecan-1
Source : E.coli. SDC1 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 262 amino acids (18-254) and having a molecular mass of 27kDa (molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher) .SDC1 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. CD138 takes a part in cell adhesion. CD138 is expressed on the surface of pre-B cells and plasma cells but is absent from mature B cells. SDC1 is a selective marker for B cell lymphoblastic leukemia and lymphoplasmacytoid leukemia. SDC1 is missing from the apoptotic myeloma cells; therefore is a valuable marker for plasma cell and myeloma cells.
