Recombinant Human Secretagogin

Source : Escherichia Coli. SCGN Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 296 amino acids (1-276 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 34.2kDa. SCGN is fused to a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus and purified by standard chromatography techniques. SCGN is a secreted calcium-binding protein which is found in the cytoplasm. It is related to calbindin D-28K and calretinin. Secretagogin is involved in KCL-stimulated calcium flux and cell proliferation.Secretagogin plays a role in human non-functional pituitary adenomas.
