ACKA Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. Recombinant ACKA produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 423 amino acids (1-400) and having a molecular mass of 45.7 kDa.The ACKA is fused to a 23 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. E.Coli Acetate Kinase, also knowns as ACKA, catalyzes the formation of acetyl phosphate from acetate and ATP and also catalyzes the reverse reaction. ACKA takes part in synthesis of various ATP formed catabolically during anaerobic growth of the organism.

Components

ACKA protein (1mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
