TREX2 Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. TREX2 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 256 amino acids (1-236a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 28.0 kDa. TREX2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. TREX2 holds a 3-prime-to-5-prime exonuclease activity and eliminates mismatched, modified, fragmented, and normal nucleotides to produce the appropriate 3-prime termini for following steps in the DNA metabolic pathways. TREX2 has a role in DNA replication, repair, and recombination.
