Polyclonal Antibody to POU3F2
POU3F2 is a developmental neural cell-specific POU domain transcription factor and is crucial for cell lineage determination. In melanoma lesions, cells expressing high levels of POU3F2 show enhanced invasive and metastatic capacity that can in part be explained by repression of MITF (Micropthalmia-associated Transcription Factor) expression via POU3F2 binding to its promoter. POU3F2 is expressed exclusively in the central nervous system, more specifically in post-mitotic neurons and glia.
