Trimethylacetaldehyde
Trimethylacetaldehyde (Pivalic aldehyde) is an analog of Betaine aldehyde. Trimethylacetaldehyde has a significant enzyme inhibitory activity towards betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase. Trimethylacetaldehyde can be used for osmoprotectants of E.coli research[1].
