Colestolone
Colestolone is a 15-ketosterol compound and an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase. Colestolone can inhibit the activity of cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) in vitro (IC50: 660 μM) . Colestolone is a cholesterol-lowering agent, and can be used in the research of endocrine and metabolic diseases such as hyperlipidemia[1].
