18-Oxooctadecanoic acid
18-Oxooctadecanoic acid is a long-chain fatty acid derivative. 18-Oxooctadecanoic acid is exclusively oxidized by P450BM-3 to the corresponding α, ω-dicarboxylic acid (1,18-octadecanedioic acid) without undergoing decarboxylation to form one-carbon-shorter olefins. 18-Oxooctadecanoic acid can be used for the study of metabolic pathways of aldehyde-containing long-chain fatty acids[1].
