Trypanothione TFA is a bis-glutathionyl derivative, found in trypanosomatids. Trypanothione TFA itself or assisted by different enzymatic systems is involved in anti-oxidant defense, cell proliferation, removal of toxic compounds and metabolites and iron-sulfur metabolism[1].
