Curromycin A exhibits antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis. Additionally, it can inhibit the replication of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and suppresses the growth of mouse melanoma B16 and leukemia P388 cells.
