Recombinant human M-CSF protein
Macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF), as known as CSF-1, one of the hematopoietic growth factors that regulate the growth and differentiation of blood cells. This protein is produced by monocytes, granulocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. It stimulates the formation of macrophage colonies, enhances antibody-dependent, cell-mediated cytotoxicity by monocytes and macrophages, and inhibits bone resorption by osteoclasts. Recombinant human M-CSF, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed as insoluble protein aggregate in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer..
