ODF2 Antibody

The outer dense fibers are cytoskeletal structures that surround the axoneme in the middle piece and principal piece of the sperm tail. The fibers function in maintaining the elastic structure and recoil of the sperm tail as well as in protecting the tail from shear forces during epididymal transport and ejaculation. Defects in the outer dense fibers lead to abnormal sperm morphology and infertility. Multiple protein isoforms are encoded by transcript variants of this gene; however, not all isoforms and variants have been fully described.

For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store ODF2 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

ODF2 antibody can be used for detection of ODF2 by ELISA at 1:312500. ODF2 antibody can be used for detection of ODF2 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
