BMP7 Antibody

The bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by an ability of demineralized bone extract to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo in an extraskeletal site. Based on its expression early in embryogenesis, the BMP has a proposed role in early development. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store BMP7 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

BMP7 antibody can be used for detection of BMP7 by ELISA at 1:1562500. BMP7 antibody can be used for detection of BMP7 by western blot at 1.25 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
