APRT Antibody

Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase (APRT) belongs to the purine/pyrimidine phosphoribosyltransferase family. A conserved feature of this gene is the distribution of CpG dinucleotides. This enzyme catalyzes the formation of AMP and inorganic pyrophosphate from adenine and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP) . It also produces adenine as a by-product of the polyamine biosynthesis pathway. A homozygous deficiency in this enzyme causes 2,8-dihydroxyadenine urolithiasis. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store APRT antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

APRT antibody can be used for detection of APRT by ELISA at 1:312500. APRT antibody can be used for detection of APRT by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
