Carboxypeptidases are enzymes that hydrolyze C-terminal peptide bonds. The carboxypeptidase family includes metallo-, serine, and cysteine carboxypeptidases. According to their substrate specificity, these enzymes are referred to as carboxypeptidase A (cleaving aliphatic residues) or carboxypeptidase B (cleaving basic amino residues) . CPB2 is activated by trypsin and acts on carboxypeptidase B substrates. After thrombin activation, the mature protein downregulates fibrinolysis. For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚ C. For longer periods of storage, store CPB2 antibody at -20˚ C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

CPB2 antibody can be used for detection of CPB2 by ELISA at 1:1562500. CPB2 antibody can be used for detection of CPB2 by western blot at 1 μ g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
