Prior to reconstitution store at 4 °C. After reconstitution store at -20 °C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.<br>Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.

This item specifically recognises human PAI-1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), otherwise known as SERPINE1, a 45kDa serine protease inhibitor and member of the serpin family, which acts as the primary inhibitor of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA), and hence fibrinolysis. <br> <br>Increased levels of PAI-1 are associated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and an increased occurrence of thrombosis in obesity, and can be induced by obesity related factors including insulin, glucose and VLDL (very-low-density lipoprotein).
