Anti-Toll-like receptor 8 TLR8 Antibody

Boster Bio Anti-Toll-like receptor 8 TLR8 Antibody (Catalog # A01541) . Tested in ELISA, IHC-P applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse.

Product Specifications

Background

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are signaling molecules that recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses. These proteins act through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TIRAP to activate various kinases and transcription factors. Like TLR7, TLR8 is localized to endosomal or lysosomal compartments and stimulates the innate immune response after activation by guanosine- and uridine-rich single-stranded RNA. Human but not murine TLR8 confers responsiveness to the antiviral compound R-848.

Synonyms

CD288, Toll-like receptor 8

Gene Name

TLR8

UniProt

Q9NR97

Host

Rabbit

Reactivity

Human, Mouse

Cross Reactivity

At least three isoforms of TLR8 are known to exist. TLR8 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other TLR protein family members

Immunogen

TLR8 antibody was raised against a 13 amino acid synthetic peptide near the amino terminus of human TLR8. The immunogen is located within the first 50 amino acids of TLR8.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Tissue Specificity

Detected in brain, heart, lung, liver, placenta, in monocytes, and at lower levels in CD11c+ immature dendritic cells.

Applications

ELISA, IHC-P

Field of Research

Innate Immunity

Purification

TLR8 Antibody is affinity chromatography purified via peptide column.

Concentration

1 mg/mL

Form

Liquid

Function

Key component of innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.

Molecular Weight

119828 MW

Storage Conditions

TLR8 antibody can be stored at 4°C for three months and -20°C, stable for up to one year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
