Terephthalaldehyde
Terephthalaldehyde is a cross-linking agent. Terephthalaldehyde can copolymerize with chitosan and acrylic acid to form hydrogels that selectively adsorb anionic dyes. Terephthalaldehyde can be used as a drug intermediate to synthesize a series of novel benzothiazole and benzotriazolopyrimidinone heterocyclic compounds[1][2].
